The committees page explains how the XXIII International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis is structured and who guides it. Rather than presenting a single body, it introduces two distinct groups: an organizing committee with responsibility for the practical running of the meeting, and a scientific committee that evaluates submitted contributions and helps shape the scientific programme of the symposium.

The scientific committee carries particular weight at a meeting of this kind, since it is the group that reads abstracts, judges submissions for oral and poster presentation, and ensures that the sessions reflect the current state of research in homogeneous catalysis. Its work connects directly to the abstract submission and notification timeline highlighted among the important dates.

The organizing committee, by contrast, looks after the logistics that make the gathering possible at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Trieste: scheduling of parallel sessions and keynote talks, handling of registration and accommodation information, and the organisation of social events that encourage interaction between participants from academia and industry.

Both committees together embody the tradition of the ISHC series, which has built a reputation for bringing leading scientists and outstanding contributions together for discussion in a welcoming atmosphere.
